Micro-Mangled is a powerful female-fronted metal band born from the journey of healing and breaking the chains of generational trauma. Inspired by a moment of humor turned profound reflection, the band’s name encapsulates the experience of being "micro-mangled"—a term symbolizing the invisible chains of societal and generational conditioning that shape who we are, often without us realizing it.
Jamie’s path to healing began with deep introspection into her own experiences of childhood abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence, narcissistic abuse, and spiritual trauma, all rooted in cycles passed down through generations. Through raw and emotionally charged music, Micro-Mangled challenges societal beliefs and inherited pain, encouraging listeners to confront the trauma that has been imposed upon them.
The band stands as a voice for those healing from their past, reminding the world that while the journey may not be linear, every step is an act of defiance and growth. Each song is a rallying cry for self-liberation, decolonization of thought, and the courage to speak one’s truth. With a sound that blends haunting melodies and fierce metal intensity, Micro-Mangled not only delivers a powerful musical experience but also an invitation to join a collective journey of healing and transformation.

I was born in Galveston County, Texas. I spent much of my childhood relocating throughout the state of Texas, ultimately considering Fredericksburg my home. Raised in an abusive environment, I found solace in a diverse musical landscape that ranged from the Grand Ole Opry to Slayer. As a mother of three and a late-in-life lesbian embracing my healing journey, I channel my passion for music and my personal experiences into a powerful voice for those who feel unheard. My lyrics poignantly reflect the struggles of child abuse, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, compulsive heteronormativity, and religious abuse, with the aim of fostering hope and breaking cycles of generational trauma.
Bryon Roberts
Drummer/Songwriter
I was born and raised in upstate New York, growing up with other musicians in the family. My first encounter with music was when I saw my Uncle's drum set! I was so infatuated with it I started pulling pots and pans out and playing on them at home. On my 12th birthday, my parents took me to get my ears pierced and bought me my first drum set! I couldn’t stop playing it. Any chance I could, I was practicing and getting better. Shortly after, I joined my first band called 12 Gauge. We played death metal! Unfortunately, we grew apart after the guitarist passed away in a tragic accident. After high school, I joined a new band called Necrosis. We toured the entire East Coast and released an album. We were together for many years, but it came to a halt due to some differences. After that, I joined Citizen X, where we played some gigs and released a demo, but that also came to an end. A few years later, I started doing live drumming on TikTok and gained many fans and family! That also how I met my wife and joined the band Micro-Mangled! I’m so excited for what the future will bring, and I will never stop drumming!

I was born March 25, 1986 in Little Rock, Arkansas. I have lived in Texas since I was a year old. Growing up my house hold consisted of listening to bass, blues,classic rock and a splash of country. I started singing at around 10yrs old singing Skid Row in the back seat of my parents car. Over the yearsI branched out to heavier music like Linking Park, Godsmack, Disturbed and Slipknot because of their vocal style and range. Through vocal warm ups and training I was able to expand my range Micro-Mangled is my very first band and I couldn't be more excited to share this journey with Jamie and Bryon.
